1. Field Application Engineer__Dell
Job Description
Provide post sales customer support for xxx storage products used in Dell server platforms being developed at Dell ODMs in Taiwan. This includes technical consultation, design assistance and extensive lab debug during new product integration and test. Products support focused on Storage components, HBAs and RAID controllers. There is also a requirement to provide program management to align four different Dell ODMs that will require triage, synchronization and coordination between these sites as well as with US based Dell ADC and US based factory sites.
Requirements/Qualifications (Education)
- B.S. Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent EE background.
- Minimum 5 years experience in Computer / Storage.
- Experience with C language programming and embedded processor programming.
- Experience in test and debug of hardware / software of computer system related products
- Knowledge of OS RAID and/or HBA storage drivers (especially Windows NT / Linux) a plus.
- Knowledge of Storage related technology including RAID, SAS, SATA, SCSI and PCI
protocols and applicable analyzers
- English and Chinese languages: Good written and verbal skills in both.
- Program management experience coordinating debug across multi-site development efforts.
- Strong technical debug skills in storage related products.
- Able to interface with engineers across geographical boundaries via phone and adjust work schedules to participate on US based timezones as needed.
- Ability to travel to the US for training at xxx and Dell sites
2.Field Application Engineer__IBM
Job Description

3.Field Application Engineer Manager
Job Description
Responsible for leading and managing FAE team in Taiwan. Organize FAE team to achieve Taiwan Sales biz goals. Provide coaching and feedback to conduct FAE in achieving performance and effectiveness on xxx’s product promotion, presentation, demonstration and technical support. Assists sales forces in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and is responsible for recognizing new business opportunities. Communicate with Business Units in US to work out the support plan to key projects with local FAE and BU SAE, as well as developers. Provides answers to customer inquiries concerning system software, hardware and applications pre/post sale.
Requirements/Qualifications (Education)
- BS in EE or equivalent required, advanced degree, e.g. MBA/MS desirable
- Requires more than 12 years design engineering experience and minimum 5 years
management experience in Semiconductor, IC design, PC, Storage or Networking industry
- In-depth technical knowledge of the storage, networking and PC markets as it pertains to the Taiwan customer base and xxx’s product lines
- Familiarity with IT/Semiconductor industries and proven track record in technical work
- Strong technical background and engineering experience
- Have good working relationships with the company’s key cus-tomers – Acer, Accton,
Advantech, Hon Hai (Foxconn), Quan-ta, Inventec, Mitac and Gigabyte, USI… and Dell, HP and IBM’s Taiwan Design Center
- Strong communication skills that include proficiency in both Mandarin Chinese and English
- Possess the ability to well communicate with internal parties (employees, peers, co-workers / mixed function teams, su-pervisors, executives, etc.) and external customers
- Must be a good team player to integrate FAEs, Sales and BU technical support team as one family to win the business to-gether
- Must be a good leader with strong leadership and can make good business decisions. This position will have higher man-agement visibility and cross BU collaboration opportunities. Leadership and influence skills are critical to this person and team’s success. It would be a plus to have experience in managing a team
